15 Oct 2024 back to previous Year 5 Excursion to Sovereign Hill: A Step Back in Time Our Year 5 students recently embarked on an unforgettable journey back in time to Sovereign Hill. Immersed in the history of the Goldfields, the students experienced life as it was during the gold rush era. From panning for gold to learning about the hardships and triumphs of those who lived through this significant period, our students gained valuable insights into the foundations of our country. As we reflect on our School’s history and the vision of our Foundress, Mary Ward, we are reminded of her belief that "women in time will come to do much." A century ago, the Loreto Sisters continued Mary Ward’s mission of empowering women through education, and today, our students stand on their shoulders, ready to make their own mark on the world. back to previous
