Health & Physical Education

Physical Education is the key learning area in the curriculum that focuses explicitly on developing skills and concepts students require to participate in physical activities with competence and confidence. Our course aims to improve student knowledge, understanding, skills and dispositions that enables development through movement, and encourages lifelong participation, which ultimately leads to positive health outcomes.  

Health is a core subject for students in Years 7 and 8. Physical Education is a core subject from Years 7-10. Students participate in a range of activities which utilise our spectacular facilities. These include a 25m indoor swimming pool, indoor court, Gymnastics Room, Weights Room, Rowing facilities and Lawn Oval.  

There are several elective subjects offered by the Health & Physical Education Faculty in Years 9 and 10, along with a comprehensive VCE program.
