At the conclusion of the Introduction to Rowing Program, students will be invited to sign up for the Development Program. This Program runs for five weeks during Term 3 and introduces students to a similar training program that they will experience, should they sign up for the season. The Development Program incurs a cost to families.
Term 3 Rowing Program
Students in Years 9 – 11 can sign up to the Rowing Program for Term 3. During this Program, students focus on technique, strength and conditioning and fitness, and commence a similar training program that they will experience, should they sign up for the season. Season
Towards the end of Term 3, Years 8 – 11 sign up for the remainder of the season. Throughout the season, students compete in a range of regattas and undergo training and crew selection processes. The season culminates with the Head of the Schoolgirls’ Regatta, believed to be the largest all-girl rowing regatta in the world. During the season, students in the senior program (Years 11 and 12) also participate in a range of camps including wellbeing retreats, interstate rowing camps and Victoria-based camps.
Further Opportunities
In addition to our season-offering, for select crews we provide opportunities for rowers to participate in interstate regattas and the Australian Rowing Championships, enriching their skills and fostering connections within the broader rowing community.
Our Rowing Program is more than just a sport – it's a journey of self-discovery, teamwork, and achievement. We invite our students to join us and unlock your potential in the Loreto Toorak Rowing Program.
