Travelling Exhibition

As part of the travelling exhibition that is touring Australia throughout 2025 to celebrate 150 Years of Loreto in Australia and South East Asia, the six Loreto schools and two associated schools have crafted breathtaking mannequin skirts that are a vibrant blend of Loreto’s heritage and bold vision for the future. This part of the travelling exhibition draws inspiration from the Good Shepherd Sisters’ ‘Feminine Fortitude’ exhibit at Abbotsford Convent, visited by several Loreto Sisters during its showcase.

All members of the school community are invited to attend the Opening of the Loreto Australia & South East Asia, 150 Years Travelling Exhibition at Loreto Toorak. The Travelling Exhibition features items from the Loreto archives, artwork designed by each Loreto School, banners, displays and interactive installations. After more than 12 months of planning we are excited to host this exhibition, after its launch at Loreto Ballarat and before it then travels to each of our sister Loreto schools around the country across 2025. The Opening will take place on Wednesday 19 March. Official proceedings will take place at 7.00pm with refreshments served. An invitation with booking links will be sent to all families shortly.

Each colourful skirt tells a unique story through beautifully designed bands, honouring:
  • A tribute to First Nations culture
  • Iconic buildings and architecture
  • Inspiring figures in the school community
  • Creative expressions of each school’s identity
