Commerce Teachers Present at Commview22

Loreto Toorak staff Filomena Cricri and Tom Watson recently presented at the Comview22 Conference, hosted by the Victorian Commerce Teachers Association. The two-day conference brought together teachers and experts from across the strands of VCE Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Legal Studies.

In their presentation “Stepping into the dock and thinking out of the box”, Filomena and Tom showcased learning activities and assessment tasks that differ from the commonly used structured questions under timed conditions often relied on to build key skills for VCE examinations. The session depicted the areas of law, politics, and civics in a way that allows students to actively transfer and apply understanding from the classroom to applicable experiences in the outside world.
