GSV Representative Tennis and Swimming Teams

We recently had two student athletes selected for the Girls’ Sport Victoria Representative Tennis and Swimming teams.

Chelsea was one of the eight team members in the GSV Representative Tennis Team. Chelsea competed last month at the National Tennis Centre in the GSV Premier Team Match. Students were split into two teams: Szili Squad and Team Tuddenham. In a great display of talent and teamwork over three rounds of tennis, Szili Squad (which included Chelsea) were triumphant over Team Tuddenham with a final score of 43-28.

Sophie was selected for the GSV Representative Swimming Team, which competed in the Victorian School Association Competition at MSAC. This is Sophie’s third selection for the team, having been selected every year since Year 7. Sophie achieved 2nd in her individual 14-15 50m Butterfly, and 1st and 2nd in her two relay events. The GSV team was also awarded the Female Association Champion for the 5th year in a row. Well done to Sophie and the rest of the team!

These experiences gave Chelsea and Sarah the valuable opportunity to improve their skills while also forming friendships with students from other schools.
