Celebrating Triumphs and Team Spirit: A Remarkable Weekend at the Head of the Schoolgirls’ Regatta
In our Centenary year, the annual HOSG Regatta was filled with remarkable achievements and unwavering spirit. We were thrilled with our students’ performance, showcasing their exceptional skill at rowing, and leaving an indelible mark in our hearts.
Parents, grandparents and friends lined the banks of the Barwon River and witnessed our rowing squads push themselves across the finish line, while embodying the values of commitment, fair play, and courage that defines our Loreto community.
It was exciting to seize victory in an impressive 17 A Finals. Our Ward Crew went back-to-back win in the Division 1 Schoolgirls 8; their journey exemplified the qualities of teamwork, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence. While we were proud of our success on the water, we were even more impressed with our students’ attitude and behaviour over the weekend; each one remained gracious and humble in their extraordinary triumph, taking the time to praise and acknowledge all other competitors for their efforts in the regatta.
To all our students who participated in the regatta, we extend our heartfelt congratulations. We also thank our Head of Rowing, Tim Dolphin, for his exemplary leadership of our rowers, and the team of coaches and staff for their expertise, guidance and attention to the crews.
Row Loreto, row!
