Forming new academic partnerships to provide deep learning opportunities for Loreto Toorak students is at the forefront of the School’s strategic direction. In 2023, Loreto Toorak and the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Monash University will collaborate to create a suite of offerings for students to consider the present, challenge our directions, and pose a future full of possibilities.

To commence the year, Associate Professor Gene Bawden, Head of Design at Monash Art, Design and Architecture has been engaged as a guest academic to guide students through a short course at Loreto Toorak’s Summer Academy, titled “Design and Power: How might design confront the challenges of global inequality?”.
We look forward to welcoming Professor Bawden tomorrow for the final day of our Summer Academy program.
