Empower Our Future Leaders: Building and Maintaining Meaningful Connections
Loreto Toorak’s commitment to holistic education extends beyond academic pursuits. In line with our EMPOWER Wellbeing Framework, which aims to equip young individuals with the necessary skills and strategies to navigate their world successfully and with kindness, we invited URSTRONG, an award-winning program, to School to talk with our students about how to build a friendship.
URSTRONG focuses on empowering children with essential skills and language to foster healthy friendships. Through engaging activities and structured lessons, students learn how to build and maintain meaningful connections, resolve conflicts peacefully, and develop empathy and understanding towards others.
By incorporating URSTRONG into our programs, we not only prioritise academic achievement but also recognise the importance of emotional intelligence and social competence in a child's overall development. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also socially adept, capable of thriving in diverse environments while cultivating positive relationships with others.
