07 Mar 2025 back to previous Celebrating Fearless Leadership on International Women’s Day 2025 Loreto Toorak community gathered in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025 with a special breakfast that brought together students, staff, and Alumnae. This year’s theme, Fearless Leadership, was beautifully embodied in both the spirit of the morning and the stories shared. We were honoured to welcome back Loreto Toorak Alumna, Liz Courtney, an award-winning filmmaker and renowned climate advocate. Liz inspired guests with the story of her own “sliding door” moment—an unexpected opportunity that shaped the course of her remarkable career. Her message of courage, resilience, and purpose resonated deeply with all in attendance. As Mary Ward wrote, “Women in time will come to do much.” May we continue to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders, “For all women and girls: Rights. Equality.
