It is with immense pleasure that I announce the new Director of Rathfarnham, Ms Kellie Morgan, who will be joining the Leadership Team at Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak from the commencement of 2023. The appointment follows Mrs Catherine Maimone Crowhurst’s decision to assume another role in the School following her 12 years of outstanding leadership.
Ms Morgan will bring to the role a breadth of experience, having more than 25 years of teaching and leadership in both early learning and junior years education, predominantly in the Independent Schools sector.
During the initial stages of her career at Carey Baptist Grammar School, she was inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy which led her to a passionate belief in the importance of high-quality early learning experiences for children. Following her time at Carey Grammar she spent 13 years at Caulfield Grammar School as a member of their teaching team and the Junior Years Leadership Team. There she was a passionate proponent of inquiry-based learning and an advocate for a holistic approach to education.
Ms Morgan held the role of Executive Director of Junior Years and Early Learning at Melbourne Girls’ Grammar School for seven years and, currently she is the Head of the Junior School at Mentone Girls’ Grammar School. Ms Morgan is currently undertaking postgraduate studies at the Australian Catholic University.
It is with Ms Morgan’s extensive and relevant leadership experience, together with her commitment to a values-based educational environment, and her Catholic faith, that we look forward to welcoming her to our Loreto Toorak school community and to this significant role.
