Nurturing Future Leaders: Our Year 11 Leadership Retreat
Our Year 11 students recently embarked on a Leadership Retreat, an experience that deepened their understanding of leadership and strengthened their sense of community and justice.
The retreat began at Newman College, where students spent their first day reflecting on leadership through the lens of the Mary Ward gospel tradition. This peaceful setting provided the perfect backdrop for introspection and thoughtful discussion, allowing students to explore the values that will guide them as future leaders.
The second day was a collaborative effort with students from St Kevin's College, centred around the theme of Leadership and Justice. This day was particularly engaging, with small group discussions led by guest speakers who shared their insights on the responsibilities of leadership in fostering justice within communities. The day also included a hands-on service activity, allowing students to put their learning into practise by making a tangible impact.
These two days were a profound experience for our Year 11 students, who left the retreat inspired and ready to lead our School community in 2025. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact these young leaders will have in the coming year.
