Opening School Mass – A Celebration of Faith and Gratitude
We were blessed to begin the year with our Opening School Mass, held on the stunning St Michael's Green. This special Mass marked the commencement of the Loreto Year of Verity as well as the official launch of our 150th Anniversary celebrations for Loreto in Australia. A spirit of gratitude filled the air as we reflected on the gift of our Loreto education, the beauty of God's creation, and the community we share.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our student readers, singers, and musicians, as well as to our Year 12 and Preparatory students who began the Mass together, continuing this cherished tradition. The words of Father John Martis SJ resonated deeply, inspiring us all to embrace gratitude in our hearts.
There is much to be thankful for! At the conclusion of Mass our Year 12 Councillors presented our 150 Years of Loreto in Australia badges to everyone present.
