Year 10 Careers Explorer: Expanding Horizons and Exploring Futures

Our Year 10 students recently embarked on an enriching three-day Careers Explorer program, designed to help them reflect on their strengths and passions while exploring potential future pathways.

Engaging Sessions and Career Profiling

Throughout the program, students participated in a variety of sessions aimed at career exploration and personal development. Highlights included:

  • Morrisby Career Profiling: Helps students identify their strengths and interests to guide their career choices.
  • Personal Brand Development: Teaches students how to develop and present their personal brand effectively.
  • Alumnae Presentations: Insightful talks from Alumnae, where they share their career journeys and offer guidance on different career paths.

Industry Visits and Real-World Insights

The immersion program culminated in visits to a diverse range of workplaces, where students gained firsthand experience of various industries. The organisations they visited included:

During these visits, students developed an understanding of business structures, explored different career paths, and learned about the opportunities available within each industry. In many cases, they also received behind-the-scenes tours, offering a deeper insight into the workplace environment. Reflecting on the Experience The Careers Explorer program was a valuable opportunity for our Year 10 students to connect their academic interests with real-world applications, helping them make informed decisions about their future careers. We are proud of their enthusiasm and engagement throughout the program and look forward to seeing how these experiences will shape their career journeys.
