Year 9 and 10 Shine in "Pride and Prejudice" Production
We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our Year 9 and 10 students who recently brought Jane Austen’s beloved classic, Pride and Prejudice, to life on stage. This captivating production, expertly adapted by our Alumna Meg Taranto (2018) showcased the talents and dedication of 22 young actors.
Our students have immersed themselves in their roles, dedicating countless hours to perfecting their performances. They honed their accents, mastered intricate Regency-era dances, and developed their characters with depth and nuance. The process also included trying on lavish costumes, learning to curtsy, and refining their delivery of Austen’s witty dialogue.
The entire team, including our hardworking crew members has shown extraordinary commitment to bringing this 19th-century romance to life. Every detail, from the stunning set design to the meticulous attention to historical accuracy, reflected their passion and effort.
The dedication and creativity of our students shone through in every performance, making Pride and Prejudice a memorable highlight of the School year.We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the outstanding production they delivered.
Congratulations to our talented cast and crew for their exceptional efforts and for exemplifying the spirit of excellence at Loreto Toorak!
